Happy Birthday IMARI!

To be able to wake up and wish my son a Happy FIRST Birthday is truly a gift from God. I wish I could say more, I want to say more, but I am truly speechless. Words can’t explain how happy and blessed I actually feel. My son is a year old. He’s happy, he’s healthy, and he’s ONE YEARS OLD. I still can’t believe it. I took him to get his first haircut yesterday, against his father’s wishes, and I cried. He’s a big boy now. I’ve anxiously waited for this day. It’s bittersweet. Before long, he’ll be old enough to not even want to be around me anymore. OMG, I’m getting emotional. Uggh, I hate when I’m all over the place with my thoughts. But, to me, this post is in sequential order..my own order. I guess this how I get when I’m truly happy and giddy. Right now, I’m just satisfied with EVERYTHING!

Mario has taken Imari today. Unfortunately, I had to work so we’re celebrating this weekend. I’m thinking about going to the Audubon Zoo if it isn’t too cold or maybe taking him someplace to celebrate. A party may be in the works at the end of the month along with my niece. We’ll see. I might just do a little party at the daycare like I did for Iyanna.

Anyways, I’ll come with a REAL post soon. There’s so much more that I’d like to talk about dealing with me but today is a special day so I’ll go and finish crying and recollecting the times where Imari was 8 lbs. and 21″ long.

Below are pictures of Imari and I in the chair:

The blessing and joy of being a mommy! I hear it a lot about how mothers can’t believe how fast their babies grow. It’s like just yesterday they were born and the next day they’re all grown up into their own personalities. I think all moms want their babies to be a baby forever. I often sometimes wish my nieces & nephews were still babies.

You’re going to let him get away with murder  , how can you say “no!” to those eyes?!! :-))

You’re right Dominique. I let him get away with a lot for those eyes alone. But, when he gives me his little sad face where he only makes his little teeth at the bottom show or when he smiles and his dimples show, it is then that he in fact, gets away with murder!

My daughter is the same way. These two know how to get over on me!

OMG. He is so adorable. My son is 2 years-old and still hasn’t has a haircut! lol! Babies grow up so fast don’t they. It seemed like just yesterday I birthed them and now they are walking and talking and asking me for stuff. Children are a pure blessing from God. Happy B-day Imari!!

 What a cutie! My son is 19 months and have this blonde curly hair, even though as much as he needs one I can’t find myself taking him anytime soon. His curls are just too cute! I’m very emotional myself and when I just think about my kids, or sit back and just think to myself like wow our daughters in school, already 6 years old worrying about what she’s going to wear to school, making sure her jewelry matches, has her own little purse …. it’s just so crazy. And then baby J is obviously walking, talking, squeezes my cheeks to give me a kiss .. it’s like they were just born how the heck they get so big? It flys by way to fast. Lol and my son and daughter know how to win me over to, especially my son with his sad little face … too cute! Well happy birthday to the little one!
