Back From New Orleans

I had a wonderful time.

We arrived extremely behind schedule and that really messed up our Saturday night plans. We didn’t make it to New Orleans until 12:30 AM and I was even more disappointed when I discovered the pool and hot tub were closed. That really messed up my whole night but eventually, I got over it.

At around 8:30 AM, I was able to enjoy the hot tub and the pool. I met a lot of interesting and hospitable people. We all just enjoyed ourselves while lounging around the pool. From New York lawyers, Atlanta massage therapists, and Cajun construction managers, we conversed with them all and had great laughs. We left too soon.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip.

I’ll add the rest later, maybe to Flickr. I need to unpack and get ready for the week. Maybe next weekend, I’ll be able to venture out to Biloxi or Pensacola with the children. I missed them while I was away but simultaneously enjoyed our brief separation. My sanity has been restored and I’ve regained a balance with my life.

What were you whispering into the statue’s ear, he looks enticed by your secretive words? Mmmh lol. Aw, I wish you had more time to relax and enjoy the pool & hot tub more. That’s what I’m missing, a hot tub! I’ve been wanting to go to Biloxi since I was 10 just to hit up the casinos. I’m plotting up my next getaway now! I’m more than happy that you’re revived and gained tranquility from your stay; you deserved it.

That third picture is so cute! I love the dress, wish I could pull of strapless dresses haha. Sorry that things started out a little bumpy but hey! At least you got to wake up to a hot tub during the morning! =] Best wake-up present — right next to waking up to freshly bakes cookies. Glad that you’re now revved up and ready to go again. ^^

I’m glad to hear that you’ve gotten a break and had a peaceful time! I’m going to be going on vacation at the end of July so to speak and I’m hoping to have some peace as well!

Despite the minor set back with getting there, it sounds like you truly enjoyed yourself and got that much needed R&R time. Sounds like you have a fun packed summer ahead of you. Beautiful pictures by the way.
