This is the second week of school and I’m still pretty enthused about the semester. I’m not yet overwhelmed with the assignments, although I’ve had plenty already. After all, I am aware that as you get closer to graduation, the work will become more intense and will require you to put in more hours. I’m trying my best to remain organize by scheduling time to review material for each class and by completing my assignments early so I won’t feel so overwhelmed if something occurs unexpectedly. In doing such, I awarded myself extra time to visit Southern University’s newly renovated library. After seeing the library’s new atmosphere, I am in the works of designating more time to spend there. I managed to get a lot done due to the the lack of the usual distractions at home. No little, screeching voices yelling, “Stop!” “Quit it!” “I’m not your friend anymore!” or “Mommmmeeee!”
It was just me.
And my references.
I greatly appreciated that solace.
I have been looking forward to this weekend since last weekend. As I mentioned, I’m not overwhelmed, yet, but I definitely feeling the effects of this enthusiasm that I’ve had. So this weekend, I don’t plan to spend my whole weekend buried in the books, however. I’m joining my friends and my sister on Saturday for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants–Parrain’s! There, I’ll reward this said enthusiasm and positive focus on their famous Cornish hen.
