I said I was going to participate in the Project 365 where I post something everyday, but I’m failing miserably at that. But today, after an intense debate, I had the urge to post this. I had the urge to capture the image of the shoes I wear.

The shoes that fit me.

The shoes I walk in everyday.

Don’t tell me life’s easy. Don’t tell me how easy it is to be a mother, a student, and an employee–full time. Don’t tell me, “Well, all you have to do is..” when independence is foreign to you. Don’t tell me how to live life when yours hasn’t truly started.

Save the dialogue you wish to share with me about how you plan on moving out, how you plan on going to school, and how one day, you’re gonna get off your lazy ass and find a job.

Instead, let me see it.

Until then, I’ll be under the impression that the shoes that I wear, the shoes that fit me acutely, definitely won’t fit you.

@Qui – I hate timberlands as well but these fit so well and I thought they were kinda cute too when I don’t feel like rocking heels.

All I can say is I really liked this post. You hit it right on the head for a single mother that is independent. Getting advice or hearing crap from those that aren’t walking in your shoes is useless babble.
