So, I did it. I completed my last class and graduated college. I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems.

July has been a tough month and I’m glad it’s coming to an end. From being robbed on top of other things, it’s been an emotionally, physically, and mentally challenging time for me. But, despite all of that, I made it. I persevered. I’m still standing.

The last six years have been tough. There are times where I thought I’d never finish. There are times where I wondered why I chose such a difficult and technical major such as computer science. And there were so many times where I wanted to consider work with a regular schedule just so I could live a normal life and get off from work when the sun was still up.

Head over to The Young Mommy Life to read more.

Awww congrats ! I know that feeling, I feel like I’ve been in school forever and now that I’m pregnant it kind of puts a damper on things for a moment. But you kept pushing forward and made it through the storm. This is inspirational 🙂 Your kids are soooo adorable.

I’ve felt that way. Trust me.. it’s normal to feel that way and I understand; but, let your little bundle of joy be your inspiration to return to school and continue to give it the best that you can! (:

This is truly an accomplishment, and I am inspired by your desire to not stop even though you’re tackling such a difficult and hardcore major. I wanted to major in something similar, and backed out – for obvious reasons. Hopefully your story encourages others to go after what they want, despite how difficult it will be.

Keep up the hard work and stay strong! College moms, stand up!

Thank you so much! Yes, Computer Science is a tough major but interesting, nonetheless.

College moms stand up! LOL! (:

Congrats! What a huge accomplishment, being a mother and all. I can’t wait until I’m able to head of to grad school. Your motivation for a lot of us out there, even us non-parents.

I think that’s what I like best about being a young, college mom. It’s like the best of both worlds. I get to interact with college students as well as moms/college moms and hope that I can be an inspiration to both. (:

Wow! First of all, congratulations!!!! This is a major accomplishment and you are setting a great example for your children and setting the bar high for them. Second of all, I soooo needed to see a post like this. I just took a break from typing my 6 page paper for one of my Summer classes and asked myself, “Am I ever gonna be done!?????” I am also in college and a mommy, so it was just great to see that it definitely is possible.

Again, congrats to you and goodluck in grad school!

Congratulations!!! I was reading an earlier post a few weeks ago, and seemed like you were in the middle of making a lot of decisions. I’m so glad that you have finished and are confident in the decisions you have made for your future!

Steph, I was faced with TOO many decisions for my liking. LOL! But yes, I was able to get it all done despite feeling as overwhelmed as I did.

      Thank you!

    Hi Rae,
Congrats on graduating! Sometimes, it seems like it takes forever to achieve certain goals, but all that matters in the end is that you complete them.

I would also like to thank you for visiting my blog often. It is noted and well appreciated. 🙂
