Happy August!

I’m going to keep this short because I’m still trying to knock out my To-Do list so I can really get back into blogging like I would like to. Especially since I have more time. I mentioned back in June, before I ran out of bandwidth, that I had an exciting announcement to make. I never plan for so much time to pass like it does here on the blog, but life is really moving at the speed of light for me.

Anyway, earlier this year, I begin to mark off important dates in my planner as I usually do. Then I finally made it to December and recorded a tentative date for Southern University’s Fall Commencement Ceremony with a question mark beside it. I stared at what I had just written — excited, yet nervous.

After presenting back in July, I changed that question mark to an exclamation point. My topic has been approved and now it’s time to put in the writing, organize and present my data, and lastly, walk across the stage. December 12, 2014 Commencement !.

It’s been a long journey, but I’ve made it. With such a strong support system behind me, in front of me, beside me, WE have finally made it.

To my family and my children, who literally believe that I can do anything I put my mind to, Thank You!

Next up, Doctorate!

Life have been busy but productive. Unlike what I can say about women our age. I am proud of you and I can imagine the success to come. You deserve it. And your kids are lucky to have you as their mother. You are a role model for them and anyone that comes in contact with you. You are a Rae of light!
