Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their fourth. I lounged around all weekend watching Kitchen Nightmares, Under the Dome, and Suits. I’m sure I gained about 5 lbs but who’s counting? My teaching duties ended last week on Wednesday for the robotics program. I must say that even though I’ll miss the teaching, I am quite relieved. Teaching adolescents/teens is a job and let’s just say, teaching high school would be a career I’d choose if I had no where else to turn. Shout out to all the teachers. God. Bless. ...

I’ve been natural for about four years now. This summer, I decided to do my annual No Heat Challenge. I usually just do bunning generally because it’s easiest. This summer, I want to try a few other protective styles to protect my ends and to also allow my hair to breathe. Right now, my hair is past my bra strap and is towards the middle of my back, and that was after I cut 1-1/2″ off earlier in May. I’m trying to regain those inches plus more. I went thrifting on Wednesday and snagged a few good pieces. At one of my favorite thrift stores, it was half off of apparel for being a student. And half off is always a plus for me. I grabbed a few sweaters along with a few blazers and dresses but a lot of what I purchased isn’t pictured here. (I’m trying not to bombard you guys with photos of clothing. Although cute clothing isn’t such a bad thing.) Linking up with Shana.
