I’m still over here treading the deep waters waiting for everything to be a bit more still as they once were. Work is still extremely demanding, but I’m hanging in there for the most part. I need a vacation like yesterday, but I’m trying my best to get ahead of the work before I go on vacation. It has been one busy week filled with family, friends, celebrations, empty gas tanks, and a house of balloons and flowers. The final days have come where I truly rejoice not having to fight traffic in the mornings to get my kids to their school on time. And for a short while, I don’t have to brave the commute from school to dance practice. Graduation week began on Wednesday with my daughter. It’s my last full day in Cuba. Gwanz and I are preparing to head to Callejon de Hamel to view the show that’s performed every Sunday and to follow through with our previous plans: finding a “babalawo” for a reading. It was a short ride to Callejon de Hamel, but a sweet one.
