For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad. –Edwin Way Teale

I awoke this morning to find my daughter, my niece, and my son all laying beside me to soak up my warmth. It felt nice to feel their dependence for what I had to offer. With them growing up so fast with backpacks and lunchboxes, dependence had become a little foreign. It was pretty cool and breezy this morning, finally. I know Fall isn’t officially here, but I’m just glad to be reminded of tolerable weather.

I’m looking forward to Fall. I always do. I like the way it smells, the way it looks, and it’s sense of calmness. Things always seem so much easier to deal with when Autumn arrives. Maybe it’s because of the longer nights where extra sleep is awarded. Or, maybe it’s because besides other frustrations, at least I don’t have to worry about being uncomfortable and frustrated due to extreme temperatures. Maybe it’s football season, which I hate, but can appreciate the joyous celebratory events that people of all kinds attend. The refund checks, homecoming, coronations..Halloween, Thanksgiving..

Personally, Fall/Autumn is my favorite season because of the togetherness it brings. The cool and crisp air that we shield ourselves from, intrudes and presents us with the urge to snuggle, cuddle, and remain indoors. I have a fireplace that I didn’t get the chance to use last winter. I’m still a little skeptic when it comes to lighting my fireplace now because of my children and because my TV sits on a mantle above it.

Although cooler weather means common colds, earaches, and sinus complications with myself and my little ones, I still plan to welcome it along with the fashion. I’m ready for Madden Girl and Jessica Simpson Fall collection of boots and heels. I’m ready for the pea coats, the hats and mittens for my children, the boots for my daughter, and the timberlands for my son. I’m looking forward to wearing jeans without sweating while walking to class. I’m ready to sleep in with my head over the covers. I’m ready for longer nights. I’m ready to snuggle.

Are you looking forward to Fall?

I’m looking forward to it too. Your right it seems like fall is a time for resting, things do seem to become easier. I am also looking forward to it because of the fashions as well. Can’t wait to wear my knit hats, colorful scarves, leather jackets, and boots! 😀

Now about those refund checks? LOL

I have to say my favorite seasons would be summer first, spring, fall and than winter. However im kinda excited for fall this year. Maybe it’s because of the hot summer? I’m not sure why but I am. But I hate to be cold or chilly so likely i’ll be having my heat up high and sweats & hoodies!

Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons, and Spring too. Fall is more tolerable I think. I have been enjoying the weather these last couple of days, although the weather change has gotten me sick, I’d rather it feel like it does now than the humidity we had to deal with during the summer.
