I know I’m extremely late with these posts but I’m still counting down the days until the semester ends. I managed to take the kids trick or treating this Saturday and we all had a blast. Iyanna’s birthday was November 2nd and she had a party with her Pre-K class and there’s a big party scheduled this Sunday. Word is, she’s getting an iPhone. A 5-year-old with an iPhone–go figure!
Anyways, here are a few pictures of Superman, Cinderella, and our carved pumpkin a la Carla. Carving a pumpkin wasn’t as hard as I thought and for my first time, I think I did rather well with a pair of scissors from Dollar Tree and a permanent marker. Even Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog stopped by to wish my princess a happy one!
As I mentioned, the party is this Sunday if the weather permits us to do so. Saturday, we’re going to the fair and I’d never hear the end of it if I don’t take her to get her nails done. *Sigh – Where did the time go? It didn’t seem too long ago that I was still changing her little diaper and playing with my walking 7-month-old. Seeing her grow is a blessing but it’s all happening too fast. I never knew it’d be so hard to keep up!

November 4, 2010 at 7:35 amAww she’s adorable. Yes they do grow up fast. I’ve seen the process with my nephews and nieces. Time just go by now. She’s telling people she’s getting an iPhone? LOL. How cute. I have a fair to attend to as well … I have so much fun at those things. I’m a kid all over again.

November 4, 2010 at 10:39 amLOL! So am I! I love going to fairs and carnivals and my kids seem to really enjoy themselves.
And yes — she is excited about getting this iPhone and I’m left with getting all of the accessories for the full “experience”.. Kids — gotta love them!

November 4, 2010 at 5:24 pmAww, thank you so much!
And I thought they were going to be hard too because everyone said they were but they’re not. Either that or I’m simply amazing. I’d like to believe the latter! lol

November 12, 2010 at 10:27 amAww, thanks Shelly! But I definitely feel that I am a lucky and blessed parent to have children like them. And God Bless you for even wanting to teach at a Pre-School. I have a deeper appreciation for people who have a vast amount of patience for small children because that is one of the hardest jobs!
