So, I did it. I completed my last class and graduated college. I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems.
July has been a tough month and I’m glad it’s coming to an end. From being robbed on top of other things, it’s been an emotionally, physically, and mentally challenging time for me. But, despite all of that, I made it. I persevered. I’m still standing.
The last six years have been tough. There are times where I thought I’d never finish. There are times where I wondered why I chose such a difficult and technical major such as computer science. And there were so many times where I wanted to consider work with a regular schedule just so I could live a normal life and get off from work when the sun was still up.

July 28, 2012 at 2:33 pmAwww congrats ! I know that feeling, I feel like I’ve been in school forever and now that I’m pregnant it kind of puts a damper on things for a moment. But you kept pushing forward and made it through the storm. This is inspirational 🙂 Your kids are soooo adorable.

August 6, 2012 at 11:01 pmI’ve felt that way. Trust me.. it’s normal to feel that way and I understand; but, let your little bundle of joy be your inspiration to return to school and continue to give it the best that you can! (:

July 28, 2012 at 7:27 pmThis is truly an accomplishment, and I am inspired by your desire to not stop even though you’re tackling such a difficult and hardcore major. I wanted to major in something similar, and backed out – for obvious reasons. Hopefully your story encourages others to go after what they want, despite how difficult it will be.
Keep up the hard work and stay strong! College moms, stand up!

July 28, 2012 at 8:51 pmCongrats! What a huge accomplishment, being a mother and all. I can’t wait until I’m able to head of to grad school. Your motivation for a lot of us out there, even us non-parents.

August 6, 2012 at 11:05 pmI think that’s what I like best about being a young, college mom. It’s like the best of both worlds. I get to interact with college students as well as moms/college moms and hope that I can be an inspiration to both. (:

July 28, 2012 at 9:00 pmWow! First of all, congratulations!!!! This is a major accomplishment and you are setting a great example for your children and setting the bar high for them. Second of all, I soooo needed to see a post like this. I just took a break from typing my 6 page paper for one of my Summer classes and asked myself, “Am I ever gonna be done!?????” I am also in college and a mommy, so it was just great to see that it definitely is possible.
Again, congrats to you and goodluck in grad school!

Thank you!
