Life is really moving. Truthfully speaking, I woke up this morning unaware that today was Wednesday. I’m still living in a Monday. Even though life is moving quite swiftly for me, I am not complaining one bit. I like being busy. I like deadlines and crunch times. Early morning meetings and taking 2-hour lunches if needed. What’s really helping is how I’m staying on top of things by reducing procrastination. And by doing so, I have much more time on the weekend to relax and hang out. This weekend, I did just that.

It was the first weekend in a while that I’ve had to myself.

I stayed up late, did a little cuddling, and just enjoyed that Me time that is so rare these days.

Having that time to yourself to just regroup and collect your thoughts is soothing.. therapeutic, even. I’m working on not making this Me time so sporadic. Sometimes we get so busy with life we forget to enjoy it. We forget to smile, to actually laugh out loud instead of “LOL”, we forget how to have fun. We get so wrapped up in mommyhood, school life, and work, that we forget that we are more than that.

I, for one, need to remember to appreciate the sunshine and go out and let it hit my skin. I need to remember to take a drive around town with the windows down and let the music blast. I need to remember to dance like everyone’s watching but I just don’t give a damn that they are.

I need to remember to just.. live.

You are right on so many levels. I knew you were smart, but you understand things much quicker than I ever did. It took me much longer to know that not only is “me” time okay, but NECESSARY.

Love, love your hair. Enjoy the rest of your week.

I need to take a que from you and let procrastination go; it’s such a hard habit to break. It’s great to hear things are going swell for you. As a foodie, your food looks delish! Life’s amazing when you’re living it.

I’m glad you got a chance to indulge in Me-time! It’s crazy, my schedule is the heftiest it has ever been in past semesters, and some how it is forcing me to get things done in a timely manner as well. Everything has it’s own time slot and it’s not often I deviate from that. My planner is FULL with all kinds of notes and tidbits. Times like this make you really appreciate when you have that free moment to yourself, or to spend with friends. I’m so proud of you & I’ll always aspire to be like you (: You’re my hero Haha.

I really like the black and white photo. I know what you mean about life moving too fast and I have a problem with procrastinating. I’ve tried to address it, but if it weren’t for the last second, nothing would get done! Life will be busy for me too since I’m starting school again. I like the fact that I’m busy and feel like I have purpose, but I hate not having time to just be lazy. -Jess L
