Ya’ll, to say that I am glad August is finally here would be an understatement. July was a very tough month for me financially since my university decides to change how payroll is processed. Within these last 20 something days, I’ve become an expert in the field of penny pinching. Oh, and payment arrangements? — I definitely had to swallow my pride and plead for an extension. And let me not fail to mention about me robbing Peter to pay Paul, yea, I was that criminal. But, I got through it and when I least expected it, my paycheck from my university was deposited and a paycheck from my job was smiling at me in my mailbox.

*insert long, heavy sigh of relief here*

Nevertheless, I’ve definitely been keeping busy. I’m completely exhausted from information overload for the week, but it’s a good type of exhaustion, if that makes any sense. I still have a lot to figure out but my Google Calendar and my planner are helping me keep things all in perspective.

My daughter is starting school in two weeks and I have yet to complete school shopping. That’s mainly because I didn’t know exactly how late my paycheck from the summer was going to be. Luckily I still have some time to get her things. My son is off to Pre-K this year and he’ll be at the same school as big sis, but his supplies aren’t due until a later date. Thank God I only have to make ONE stop in the mornings and afternoons. They’re both excited about going to school but I think I’m wayyyy more excited than they are. I usually do the shopping by myself but this time I want to shop with them. I’m sure it’ll be fun.

As if life isn’t busy enough, it’s only going to get busier but I’m ready to go into super mommy mode. I have a lot of things to get situated to make sure our mornings run as smoothly as possible, but I’m sure it’ll all work out. I had a lot of plans for this blog including different series and I’m going to try my best to follow through. There were a few series that I wanted to start in August but with training and school, those may be postponed. Posts may be a little slim but I’ll try to post as often as I can and still be present in the blogosphere.

It’s always so amazing to me when people with young children especially still find/make the time to go to school. On my most stressful days, I still think about how much easier I must have it. So kudos to you !

That’s awesome that they will be in the same school this year… she’ll be able to look after him and you only have one stop to make… that is definitely one of the good things about having children close in age. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t waited so long to have another. Ah well. I’m glad everything has worked out for you financially!

You definitely have your work cut out for you. But with both of the children going to the same school, I imagine things will be a bit easier. Honestly, I am so not ready for summer to be over lol. I know everything is going to be hectic because I moved a month ago so I’m still in the process of getting everything situated.

Try not to wear yourself out too much! Lord only knows the effects of exhaustion ;/

Sounds all stressful but here’s to hoping it all will work out! I’m ready for August too and to be back on a schedule. Being busy seems bad but when you’re not doing anything, I feel like I’m just wasting time!

I can only imagine the load with your schooling and your children but I’m for sure it will be all worth it at the end. Hopefully everything will get back on schedule for the school for you all but at least too they will be at the same school together.

You have got so much going on! But it’s really nice that they are now in the same school! Looking forward to your series!

Yes ma’am. I have had to ask for many an extension in my day. LOL. And even though it’s not fun, at times, it’s necessary and nothing to be embarrassed about. I mean, they’re there for just that reason. Whenever I get down, overwhelmed or depressed about my situation, I listen to “I Smile” by Kirk Franklin. My favorite line is and will always be: “When I think how much better I’m gonna be when this is over…I smile.” YYYAAASSSS!!! You are doing such great things and when it’s all said and done, you will reap the benefits of your hard work. I’m sure you already know that, but I wanted to say it again.

I believed we both know about that July struggle. I’m still making promises to pay, payment arrangement, changing my bill dates..etc. Sista over here got it bad too. I cant wait for Savannah to start school only because I no longer have to hire a sitter. I never put her in day care. So I stuck to my gut till now. Pre K 3 here she comes. Ready or not!
