Happy Monday! I’m not so sure why I’m giddy that today is Monday.. maybe because I know there’s a paycheck waiting on me at the end of the week – or, it could be that I was able to get some things done this weekend.

This weekend went by rather slowly. I can probably blame that on my lack of internet service. I’m not complaining one bit because I was able to get a lot of things done and when Sunday came, it was all about relatives, reflection, and rest.

Earlier this week, I did get a chance to go to the gym. I took a cycling class which was really fun, but quite painful in the end. I wasn’t even embarrassed when I did the noodle walk as I walked back to the locker room to grab my things. I felt good. Really good. I felt relieved and light. My mood was just different. My kids tagged along with me to the gym where they spent their time in the child care facility that they absolutely loved. I’m not sure what they were doing in there, but they were very disappointed that they had to leave. In a way, I was too, but I had to prepare for school and work.

After my workout and before I got into bed, I noticed how easier it was for all of us to get to bed. It was easier for me to remain asleep throughout the night. I woke up before my alarm. I danced and sang in my car while in traffic during our morning commute to school and work. And if all I have to do is work out to feel like this, then I can get used to this. except I might have to purchase a bigger seat for the bike if I’d like to avoid further ass pain. *oh it’s real!*

Friday and Saturday were spent recooping, nursing my stiffness cleaning my apartment, and creating a budget. And again, since I didn’t have internet service and Cox doesn’t seem to feel that I need it as much as I do, I was able to get these things done rather quickly. (read: I’m easily distracted when I have to clean and I wasn’t this time because I ain’t have no cable.)

On Sunday, after dinner at Ralph & Kacoos with my brother and sister, we headed to Burger King to let the kids hang out and play a bit while we talked about our lives and upcoming visits, etc. I think it’s so lovely how much time we spend together. I also love the fact that my brother is closer to us now–he’s right in Texas, which makes it nice when we visit there as well.

Although I didn’t get a chance to make it to the gym, I would say keeping up with these two was somewhat a workout. Well, maybe not, but I was active this weekend. I’m still trying to figure out a workout schedule but it’s definitely a place where we’ll frequent often. And even though I didn’t make it to the gym this weekend, I finally had to time to pick up the book that I’ve had to pause on.

To be honest, this book is just boring, but I don’t like leaving books unfinished. There is a very interesting chapter where Queen Latifah talks about money and I could relate to it completely. But I’ll elaborate on that another time. Or, perhaps when I’ve finally figured out a blog schedule.

Anywho, again, Happy Monday and let’s make this week a great week, shall we?

Good for you for making time to work out. It’s not just about weight loss it really does your body good in so many ways. We just have to drag our butts there!

Okay. So can we talk about your body for a second?! Wowsa! LOL.

Don’t you love those weekends where you feel as though you got a lot of things done?! That makes me so happy. Girl.. I was thinking of getting that book, but since you said it’s not all that great, maybe I’ll pass. Or just wait for your review to come out. LOL.

I get what she was trying to do with the book, and in some areas she was quite successful. When reading the book, it’s more like a conversation. that’s how it makes you feel. BUT, I find her being repetitive with a lot of things which makes it quite boring.

I’m sure you need a bigger seat with all that arse you got!

I wish I had siblings. It is something about that bond that as an adult I somehow feel like I missed out on. Glad my children get to experience that.

Working out really does make you feel good. It is getting up the motivation to do it is the hard part. I am planning to start back running next week. I need an accountability partner cause I suck when it comes to maintaining fitness.

I swear I was seriously looking around wondering if the others in my class felt as I did. Their ass HAD to hurt. It just had to. I’ve always wanted to get into running but I’m not sure when I’d ever be able to go. So for now, I guess it’s just the treadmill.

I’m always giddy myself when payday comes around lol.

Keep up the good work your looking great. My goal for this fall/winter is to start working out myself and try to become summertime for next year. I have more than enough time to do it too.

Haha Mondays always seem a little nicer when it’s pay week 🙂

I would get so much done if I did not have Internet.

Glad you enjoyed your workout. I also feel so much better when I go. It just feels good. When I don’t go I really feel it.

Hope you’re having a great week!

It’s amazing how much a computer and internet can distract us from getting so much done. Seems like you’ve accomplished a lot. You always have something going on, I love it! Working out will definitely lead to getting good sleep. You’ve motivated me to start doing so again. Keep it up 🙂

I’ve been planning to take a spin class. You definitely motivate me to get on it. I would love to get the “noodle legs”–haven’t had a workout that good in a minute.

I am thinking about joining the gym next month. I need to commit to regular exercise at home first. 🙂

Yay! Look at you sticking to monthly goals! (sigh: yetti do better lol). Spinning is the devil. I did a class last Thursday. The space between my legs STILL feels completely violated. I may invest in those pants with the cushion sewn in on the bottom! And I had the same issue with Time Warner.. though I used to have Cox when I lived in Rhode Island and they truly angered every fiber of my being.

I’m glad you were able to accomplish a good balance of to-dos and family time. With that coupled with the working out, no wonder you were in a great mood !
