This week has been interesting. I’ve finally gotten used to my school schedule although I’m still looking forward to it being over yesterday. I’m so serious. I sat with my chair and discussed my project and graduation and it looks like I’ll be done this fall. Fall 2014 I will have my masters. I’m claiming it! On another note, I’ve been invited to speak at a few engagements involving my school and to help with a few programs that I’m really excited about. Perhaps that will make the semester easier to deal with.
Parts of Louisiana got hit with snow. Baton Rouge got hit more with ice instead of snow and the entire city pretty much shut down which resulted in me working from home for half the morning. I was hoping that we’d get snow like we did in 2008, but just slippery roads, people who can’t drive, crunchy grass, and sheets of ice on the cars. I was so underwhelmed.
Because of the snow, this weekend will be an extended weekend which will allow me to get a lot done. I need to finish with painting my room and bathroom so I can get all of these fixtures off my floor and move on to the rooms upstairs. I decided on Glidden’s Grab and Go Caramel paint and I love it so much I may just do the living room in this color as well. It depends on when the laziness surfaces. Here are the before and after pics.
And alas, my children celebrated their 100th day of school as 100 year old people in good shape, might I add. LOL! I had so much fun dressing them up and they had such fun allowing me to. This photo will definitely be framed.
It’s supposed to be cold the entire weekend and I plan to take advantage of needing to remain indoors. Happy Friday!

And speaking of your little people, that photo is priceless!
Love the paint color you chose. It’s so warm and inviting.

January 26, 2014 at 6:42 pmAh! This weather has been giving me the blues! I planned on going back to my hometown after this short week of school, but sike! Everything was shut down. I felt secluded; the campus was a ghost time. Most of the students here commute or live a few minutes from home so everyone left and I was here all alone. Blah! I did enjoy sleeping in the quiet and peace though. Your home looks beautiful and I can’t wait to see what decor comes next 🙂 Good luck on your Masters. Can I just get my BFA already? This time next year I pray to God its the end Lol.
