I definitely did not intend on an entire month passing before I provided another update. Moreover, I definitely didn’t want my blog revamp to go unfinished for as long as it has. But, such is life.
Production is the name of the game on my end. I’m trying to do away with glorifying being “busy” because you can be busy and still not get much done. And over here, I’ve been putting in work and more work. In some miraculous way, I’ve been able to pull off mommy life, work at IBM, work as a Robotics Instructor, and life as a student.. all while working on my thesis. June has been quite a productive month and had I not buckled down and told myself that organization is an absolute must this month, I definitely wouldn’t have gotten all of it done.
I even managed to squeeze in our first family vacation of the summer to Pensacola. Returning back to Louisiana was hard.

I even got a chance to meet this little guy. This was definitely my first time ever holding a bird — or having a bird hold on to me rather. I think he really liked me. He didn’t want to leave. LOL!

Thanks to my corporate discount, we were able to score two King suites with sofa beds at the Hyatt place. We were right by the airport which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The plane take-offs were fun for the kids to watch and the free breakfast was amazing!

The S5’s camera is amazing. And yes, it is waterproof.
Since I had to be responsible and actually return back to my duties, my sunkissed skin will have to hold me over until I can get back to Florida. Speaking of getting back to work, my classes finally received their robotics kits and hopefully we can get everything together for next week’s closing program.
School for me is coming along great and I also have an announcement that I’ll share in another post as I have some work to catch up on before I head to New Orleans tomorrow with my students.
I hope you all are well. (:

June 26, 2014 at 9:38 pmYou go go girl!! That is a lot to manage! I like to look at people like you who juggle way more than I do, but don’t make excuses…they just get it done. Definitely something to pull inspiration from! Proud of you. And yayyyy for STEM Education = ]

June 27, 2014 at 9:31 amYou are truly amazing and having to juggle so much I have no reason to complain about my small problems at all. And I don’t blame of NOT wanting to return home after having a good time at the beach! Something that’s on my summer bucket list of things to do and go!

July 1, 2014 at 7:16 pmGirl, I am so happy that you were able to achieve some balance in your life recently and what beautiful balance it seems to be! You look cool, calm, and collected and that is so cool that you got to have a bird on you! This seems like a great breather, the water is beautiful and so are the photos. So happy to hear that school is going well 🙂
