I woke up at the crack of dawn today to begin working due to my projects release/deployment. Luckily, these work weekends only have three times a year and not to mention, I don’t have to go into the office to complete the work. My responsibilities on the project have tripled and to be honest, I’m not complaining one bit. I’m thankful to be entrusted to handle the assignments.

My 28th birthday was earlier in the week on Wednesday. I was bummed during the day because I thought a few of my coworkers had forgotten, but it turned out to be a surprise birthday party that was orchestrated by the boyfriend. Yes, boyfriend. You read that correctly. I’m saving that story for later — but just know, he’s amazing.

Ever since getting back from Puerto Rico, I haven’t wanted to stay still. You know how you need a vacation for your vacation? I went back to Pensacola two weeks ago, but I didn’t get a chance to go back to the beach. I want to get a family vacay in before the kids and I return to school in the next few weeks.

Speaking of back to school, I’m not ready. I think I enjoy not having to wake up so early in the morning more than my kids do. The summers are going by so quickly now, maybe because they are jam-packed with stuff to do. The kids return to school almost two weeks earlier than the previous years. Ask me which supplies I’ve gotten already..

Overall, life has been good. I’m getting better at recognizing my blessings in each day that passes. I hope all is well with you all!
