Do I still have time to get through my Summer Reading List? It’s still summer? Life has been HAPPENING around these parts and with all the happenings, my time to do what I want is almost nonexistent. I have a stack of books on my night stand that I have yet to read or finish reading. I won’t even tell you how long I’ve been reading Zahir by Paulo Coelho. It’s the book that I’ve had posted on my blog to the bottom right for months now. I’d probably have more time if I wasn’t so good at finding shows on Netflix Hulu. HBOgo, etc and binge watching them. But, I digress…

I really hate to hear the words I don’t have time to read. Because, well, I do but sometimes I just don’t want to do anything but lay in bed and eat. But, I feel that at this point, I’ve done enough of that and now I have enough time left in my summer to get a few reads in, at least a few shorter ones. Here are a few on my list to get started on and to complete —

I hope to finish this selection by August and leave the remainder of the quarter to finally finish my thesis. Hopefully, Waiting on Superman will be a nice transition into understanding STEM apathy in students.

What are you guys reading? What’s on your Summer Reading list?

I definitely want to read Zahir. The last book I read was The Star Side of Bird Hill & it was just okay in my opinion! I still have to force time to read but I’ve been holding steady all year with my reading challenge surprisingly.

Its good to know, ‘summer reading lists’ are not out of style! With my new found freedom after graduation (which is short lived, I am certain), I’ve decided to make it my mission to relax and read all of Philippa Gregory’s novels. I love the scandalous tales of royal court life in old England times. The Other Boleyn Girl is one of my favorite films, so the books come naturally. The ones you have chosen seem interesting; The Zahir sounds like something I’d be interested in. Let me know how that one goes! Happy reading!
