I hope all is well with you all. I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. We’re semi-settled in our new home and the kids are overjoyed. We are ADORING our space — all 2100 sq ft — and slowly making it ours. I never realized how much shit stuff I had until it was time to pack it up and move it all. The Guy & I managed to get the necessities only leaving the washer & dryer because there was a set that came with the house. So, that’s left along with cleaning the place. I’m strongly leaning towards hiring someone to clean it. Judge me.
Our first weekend here, we managed to attack the jungle of a yard.. well, at least the front and the side of the house. I have such a loooonnnnngggg way to go but I must admit, I do enjoy being outside doing yardwork. It reminds me of my childhood where I spent evenings outdoors with my mother and grandmother. Here is the before pic:
After sweating through two pair of pants and downing three powerades, we finally cleared out a good bit and can see the side of the house. This is how it looks now:
The jury is still out on what to plant there — maybe canna lilies or some shrubs. As of right now, I’m just glad the rubbish is gone and I can’t wait until I’m able to move freely throughout my backyard. The yard alone is teaching me patience — although the entire homebuying process taught me a good deal. I’m still relaxing after that whole ordeal and will blog about that when I have the strength. No lie.
Right now, I’m working on the kids’ rooms as well as their own entertainment room. I’ll most likely finish painting their rooms this week so they can start sleeping in their own rooms. Although they are absolutely enjoying sleeping in the living room — especially since that means more TV time. *side eye*

August 11, 2015 at 1:39 pmGirl, I am so proud of you! I remember when you were just getting started in school and trying to balance the babies and life and being yourself, etc. Now look at you! Keep praying, keep smiling, and keeping doing your thing. Sending you all kinds of hugs, high fives, fist bumps, and love.
