It’s been hard getting back into the groove of things around here. I’ve been on a great and lengthy vacation since last year which makes it hard to return to my obligations. I’ve enjoyed sleeping until 9AM, which is late for me, and staying in the bed all day. I guess it has sort of spoiled me. Luckily, my vacation is in two weeks so I have something great to focus on to get me through my first-world struggle.
I’ve had a pretty easy week this week due to medical appointments, but unfortunately my son is having trouble with one of his teeth. The dentist wants to extract it since it will come out anyway, but doesn’t want to wait. My son seems to have VERY strong baby teeth because he has only lost one. And that was only because he has a row of shark teeth that pushed it out. But he’s scheduled for a procedure next week and I just can’t wait until it’s all over with.
Yesterday was my son’s birthday and I gave him two options — to have a party at school or go to WWE Raw on Monday. And since he is all things Roman Reigns and WWE, I probably shouldn’t have even asked such a silly question. We had a quiet and quaint bday celebration at home and everything was great. I can’t believe he’s 7 already. Someone sedate me.
Even though 2016 is started and I’m already dragging my feet, next week I’ll be back in my groove, afterschool care will reopen, and I countdown to my ski vacation. I’ll use this weekend to clean my home, update my work planner, and catch up on all of my emails. I can do this since my bags have been packed for about 2 weeks now.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year! Welcome to 2016 lovelies!

January 10, 2016 at 7:27 amHappy belated birthday to your baby boy! I know what you mean though once you take a vacation and get into the groove of doing what you want it’s hard to go back to your obligations. I seriously can’t wait to hear more about your ski trip and see the lovely photos I’m sure you are going to take.

January 10, 2016 at 1:27 pmWhat I would give to be able to sleep in late & stay in bed all day these days. I know my time is coming, though. I can feel it.
The same thing happened with my son with his teeth. He only had to have one removed though because it was a stubborn tooth. He was in some pain because he had a tooth growing in but the baby tooth wouldn’t budge. It was done quickly, though and he hasn’t had any issues after that.
Happy Birthday to your son! Time sure does fly. Enjoy your vacation!

Unfortunately, my son will have to be sedated to get the tooth pulled that was bothering him. He seems fine for now, so I’m hoping it’ll eventually just fall out.
