Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their fourth. I lounged around all weekend watching Kitchen Nightmares, Under the Dome, and Suits. I’m sure I gained about 5 lbs but who’s counting?
My teaching duties ended last week on Wednesday for the robotics program. I must say that even though I’ll miss the teaching, I am quite relieved. Teaching adolescents/teens is a job and let’s just say, teaching high school would be a career I’d choose if I had no where else to turn. Shout out to all the teachers. God. Bless. You!
I have eight classes left for the summer school session. And since I only have to focus on my class and my research for now, I have more time to go thrifting. I love thrifting. Plain and simple. I love digging to mounds and mounds of clothes and accessories and bags to find things that I feel I can’t live without. LOL! Recently, I’ve been on a quest for bags, besides clothes for work, and I managed to come across a few that.. well, I just can’t live without.
This bag follows me on almost every expedition. And in the meantime, this satisfies my wanderlust.
This bag literally costed me $1.00. I looked online to see how much La Tour Eiffel bags ran for, I was pleased that I only paid $1.00 for a bag in excellent condition.
A cute crossbody bag that comes in handy when I want to carry a book and one of my cameras around, or even to school when I just need my tablet instead of my laptop.
And ya’ll, this isn’t even half of my bag collection and I can’t even say that it’ll be the end. Judge me.

July 9, 2013 at 1:49 pmThat map bag is a steal–so adorable–it looks like something I’d see on freepeople.com (but with a much steeper price tag) and I love the crossbody! I’m going to have to go thrifting in Baton Rouge one of these days–What are your favorite thrift spots in BR?

July 9, 2013 at 11:12 pmI couldn’t imagine doing anything BUT teaching high school. It’s a very rewarding career — for some of us – ha! I guess that’s why we’re all wired differently. SOMEONE’S gotta do it, right? 🙂
Your thrift finds, though. Wow. I’ve been looking for a little backpack, and that map one is kinda awesome. Perfect actually.
And I like all the other bags, too. You’re good, girl.

July 10, 2013 at 8:54 amAdore each and every one of them. I’m a bag lady too but don’t carry them nearly enough. Because I really just go to work, home, and church, I rarely change my bags. That needs to change. Soon.
