My thesis has been pushed back again, but all for good reason in my opinion. I started a new instructional journey on the weekends with my university’s upward bound program. August has made it’s way to the forefront which pretty much means all things back to school for us. I just finished my last core course for my Master’s on 7/31 and I’ll be completing my last semester beginning August 18. I’m not ready for my kids to return just yet and to be honest, I think I need about two more weeks of rest before I rev things back up. About two weeks ago, I packed my bags, gassed up my car, and headed to Dallas, TX to attend the Women of Color STEM conference. My friend and I left on Thursday and arrived later in the day. Besides the fact that we did some horrible packing and we didn’t expect a cool front, it still was quite the experience. – We also attended the Texas State Fair and got a pic with Big Tex, feasted on fried collared greens, fried mac and cheese, fried spaghetti and meatballs.. all fried everything. I stomach thanked me. – I ate at P.F.  ...
